USTA Northern offers a year-round schedule of junior tournaments. Play opportunities are either by skill level or age division and spread geographically throughout the Section. Participating in junior tournaments supplements a player's tennis training, opportunity for valuable match-play experience in both singles and doubles and can be a social time to meet other tennis players.
USTA Northern Junior Team Tennis Rules and Information (USTA Northern-specific) Junior Team Tennis is the largest team tennis program in the United States. It is a "traditional" team tennis format where a minimum of three boys and three girls form a team based on Junior NTRP Ratings and compete for the right to advance to the National Championships.

The 2019 Junior Team Tennis Section Championships took place July 22-28 in Lakeville, MN. Split between Lakeville North and South high schools, nearly 900 players participated in the weeklong event from all across the USTA Northern section.

For juniors aged 9-18yrs who want to play weekly matches (a single and a double) , for an affiliated Tennis Northern club, in a team competition which runs from October to March. Ages as at the 30th April 2022: 9 – 10 years mixed teams of four played on Wed 4pm. 11 – 12 years girls and boys teams played on Sat (usually morning)

GET STARTED. Step 1 - Become A USTA Member (Junior Memberships are Free) USTA North Carolina Tournaments require each player to be a USTA Member. Many players begin organized competition at age 7, and will need their own membership number. A parent may also have a non-participation number to link to their child's account for registration, information, player profile access.
The Tennis Northern senior interclub competition runs from September to April, with a Christmas break from mid-December to mid-January. Teams are split into grades, playing round robin matches every other week. Singles. Mens – Monday or Tuesday @ 6pm. Womens – Wednesday @ 6pm.
